GENERAL SCALA PAID A VISIT TO MNCG

Commander of Italian Land Support Operational Forces at Mario Fiore Barracks in Motta di Livenza, civil-military cooperation specialists’ headquarters

On February 22, 2022, Army Lieutenant General Massimo Scala visited the Mario Fiore Barracks, Multinational CIMIC Group headquarters. The Commander of Italian Land Support Operational Forces wanted to personally meet the CIMIC operators and their Commander, Colonel Mattia Zuzzi, who illustrated to General Scala all the national and international commitments, to which the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) is called to respond.
Readiness for the NATO Response Force, educational offer in line with Alliance standards, deployment in seven different operational scenarios and joint and combined exercises on national and international environments, were some of the topics covered during the briefing.
Afterwards the General had the opportunity to visit the infrastructure and meet the personnel specialized in civil-military cooperation belonging to the 4 Italian Armed Forces as well as from the 6 Contributing Nations.
"Your mission is to give a fundamental contribution in carrying out the institutional tasks that are requested to the Italian Armed Forces and NATO. The CIMIC operational function plays a primary role in the knowledge of the civil dimension, of extreme importance in order to be able to operate with professionalism, respect and awareness of the role military force has", commented General Scala addressing the operators of the Mario Fiore Barracks.
The visit ended with the ritual signing of the roll of honor in which the Commander of Italian Land Support Operational Forces left a dedication to the men and women of the MNCG, always wishing new and profitable successes.
