In recent weeks, the specialists of the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) and the local Representative of the World Food Program (WFP), Mrs. Mary M. The key drivers of hunger – conflict, the climate crisis and economic downturns – provide entry points for MNCG and WFP’s programming, new partnerships and the generation of evidence. Amidst such sizeable and complex global challenges, MNCG and WFP will primarily meet urgent needs, while seizing opportunities to build resilience and address the root causes of vulnerability. In the light of the above, future combined CIMIC actions in Djibouti, in addition to promoting relations with the local authorities and police forces, will support government’s priorities to achieve food and nutritional across the rural areas of the country.
Working in partnership with other International Organizations like WFP can most efficiently save and change lives. “It was an experience of mutual growth, an exchange of expertise that began with a shared project and that will surely lead to future collaboration and developments.” said OR-9 Fabio Di Pasquale, CIMIC team leader deployed in Djibouti.
