MNCG PROMOTES AN AMBITIOUS FIREFIGHTERS MODERNIZATION PLAN IN SOMALIA

Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) operators support the Somali Institution building process through the continuous development of the Mogadishu Fire Brigade

The Chief of the Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) assets deployed by MNCG in Somalia and the Commander of the Italian National Support Element (IT-NSE), a Command supporting the EUTM European Mission, have recently met the Deputy Mayor of Mogadishu to provide the local Fire Brigade with technical-individual equipment to the Firemen and to the emergency services department of the Banadir Region.

This donation is part of a greater CIMIC endeavor designed to modernize the local emergency services operational capabilities. This commitment began in 2018 and has so far made it possible to fully equip a dozen of fire brigade teams with efficient and modern materials and clothing responding to the highest european quality standards. The firefighters modernization plan promoted by the MNCG operators in Somalia aims to equip in stages all the firefighter department of the Capital.

MNCG operators continue to ensure a substantial contribution to Somali people rights in the pursuit of tailor-made projects aimed at increasing security and improving intervention strategies supporting the Somali Institution building process.
