TAILORED CIMIC ORIENTATION COURSE FOR ITALIAN OFFICERS AND NCOs
The second CIMIC Orientation Course, in line with NATO Standard, aimed to provide students with basic knowledge on principles, tasks and organization of the CIMIC function in support of a military operation.

The second "CIMIC Orientation Course" took place from 24th to 28th October 2022 at the "M.Fiore" barracks in Motta di Livenza. The course is part of a revised CIMIC training offer in accordance with the training objectives and standards of the Atlantic Alliance. Following their Commander D&G, Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) specialists have therefore tailored the revised educational offer to the requirements of current operational scenarios as well as to the training objectives set by NATO.
During the course, several guest speakers representing different Organizations were invited to take part. It is worth mentioning Mr. Andrea Piergiorgio Baccarini, diplomat, and Ms Zein Tayyeb, member of the “United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs”.
Panel discussions, role-playing and syndicates activities enabled the students to consolidate the theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with the support of the MNCG tutors, coming from the 6 Participating Nations, namely Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary. Within the Atlantic Alliance the Multinational CIMIC Group is recognized as both an operational unit and a CIMIC training institution.
