The MNCG has started the Functional Specialist Course for 2023.
Motta di Livenza, June 12, 2023.
On June 12, the Multinational CIMIC Group kicked off the Functional Specialist Course for military and civilian personnel from different nations and armed forces. The week-long didactic activity is aimed at providing participants with the basics of civil-military cooperation as well as the functions and tasks performed by the latter. The course is primarily aimed at functional specialists, i.e., civilian and military-specific personnel possessing special expertise in areas of primary interest to the Armed Forces (such as civil administration, infrastructure, humanitarian assistance).
Participants will be able to enhance the notions that will be learned during the course , with a subsequent multinational deployment or in the delicate operational contexts, where the respective Armed Forces to which they belong operate bilaterally and in the Alliance environment.
They will then be prepared to interface with international, governmental and nongovernmental organizations in order to support the civilian environment to achieve mission objectives.
The Multinational CIMIC Group coaches will also besupported by a Slovenian instructor, as well as in-person and via VTC speakers, representatives from JFC NAPLES and the European Union in the area of Gender protection.
The Multinational CIMIC Group is recognized within the Atlantic Alliance as a training unit for the CIMIC operational function, and there are numerous applications from students from NATO and non-NATO countries on the www.cimicgroup.org platform.
